This 13.8-mile trail half marathon packs in a serious sense of adventure, with 1,542 ft of elevation gain that rewards every climb with sweeping valley views and fast, flowing descents. Designed for runners who love wild trails, big skies, and varied terrain, this is a race that delivers both challenge and beauty in equal measure. The route starts and finishes in Smilog Woods, setting the tone with peaceful woodland trails before easing you onto the cycle route towards Blackmill. From there, the race turns skyward as you climb up and across Mynydd Y Gaer and Mynydd Maendy, where open hillsides, historic landscapes, and panoramic views make every step feel earned. Joining the iconic Great Glamorgan Way, the course weaves through classic Welsh upland trails before dropping back down towards Smilog Woods for a thrilling run to the finish line — tired legs, muddy shoes, and a huge sense of achievement guaranteed. Booking Confirmation Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received. A confirmation email will be sent to you with all necessary details upon successful booking. Participants must adhere to the kit list provided and ensure they are adequately prepared for the challenge. Liability Adventure Athletes is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage incurred during the event. Participants are responsible for their own safety and must follow the guidance of the event leader at all times. Weather and Safety It is subject to weather conditions. Adventure Athletes reserves the right to modify the route or cancel the event if conditions are deemed unsafe. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date. No-Show Policy Failure to attend the event without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of the booking fee.
